Hot Gallery is a simple, but very configurable free plugin, based on jQuery. All you need to do to put your gallery online is to enter path where your images are stored.

You can edit parameters in the free WordPress Gallery widget options to make it better match the style of your site. Any WordPress site can have a gallery made fast and easily with this free plugin!

Descriptions of the images inside free WordPress Gallery can be switched ON or OFF. You have control over the number of thumbnail images on the screen. This plugin is XHTML/CSS compliant and it is tested on both old browsers (including IE6) and modern browsers.

Parameters of the Free WordPress Gallery

Open plugin parameters in Appearance > Widgets > Hot WordPress Gallery. You will find some default options there. Now, it’s time to change some of them to make the plugin better fit in your website.

  • Widget Class Suffix – Enter class suffix of this widget if necessary.
  • Big Image Width – Width of big gallery images in pixels.
  • Big Image Height – Height of big gallery images in pixels.
  • Thumbs Number – Number of thumbnail images on each slide.
  • Thumbs Size [% of original] – Size of thumbnail images in percents of original (big) images.
  • Thumbs Border Width – Border width of the thumbnail images.
  • Thumbs Top Margin – The top margin of the thumbnail images.
  • Thumbs Right Margin – The right margin of the thumbnail images.
  • Thumbs Border Opacity (0-1) – Opacity of the border of the thumbnail images. Enter value between 0 and 1 (in example, 0.5).
  • Thumb Border Color – Border color of the thumbnail images.
  • Load jQuery – Select whether to load jQuery library. Disable this if your theme already loads it.
  • Timer Value – Time between two slides (in milliseconds).
  • Gallery Border – Width of the border of the gallery plugin (in pixels).
  • Gallery Border Color – Border color of the gallery plugin
  • Gallery Background – Background color of the gallery.
  • Active Thumb Border Color – Border color of the active thumbnail image.
  • Big Image Border – Border width of the big images (in pixels).
  • Big Image Border Color – Border color of the big images.
  • Desc Text Background – Background color of the description text of the images.
  • Desc Text Color – Text color of the description text of the images.
  • Folder where your images are stored – Enter path your your folder with images, in example http://www.yoursite.com/images/gallery1
  • Enter data for the Gallery – You can leave this empty if you don’t need description text over images. In example, to show image1.jpg and image2.jpg (from the folder selected in previous option), and enter description text “Description1” and “Description2”, you should enter this:

    image1.jpg||Description1;
    image2.jpg||Description2
