    HI,
I am trying to build out the Top Menu navigation. However when I create the “nav” menu, with page and a couple subpages, and test it on my site, the first time I scroll over the menu item, the sub-items expand. However if I scroll over it again, the sub-items no longer expand. Also, if there is a 3rd level, it doesn’t expend even in the first scroll over.

I can refresh the page, it will again expend on the first scroll over, but not after.

    My site is:

And under privacy policy I added a “test” subpage so you can test it yourself.
    Thank You!
    Greg

    Hi Greg,

Please go to Hot Destinations Theme Options and select another transition effect for the nav menu. Let me know if that worked or your still see this problem.

    Thanks

    Hi,
Tried a few different transition effects, including “no effect” and it didn’t help.

    Appreciate your help,
    Greg

    Hi Greg,

You have several JS errors (please see attached). I believe, the one that could make the problem is:

    FB.getLoginStatus() called before calling FB.init().

So, please try to disable the Facebook plugins. Also, try to enable/disable any other 3rd party’s plugins that you installed (one by one), to check which one makes the conflict.

    HI,
I deactivated every single plug-in (all of them deactivated together), and the behavior was the same. The navigation extended on the first scroll over, and didn’t extend on the 2nd scroll over.

Thank you for helping me with this,
    Greg

    Hi,
I sent you my wordpress login information. I don’t have a ftp account set up for this domain. After taking a look at wordpress, please let me know if you need it.
    Thank You,
    Greg

I am really not sure. Please send FTP access. I need it to compare your theme files with original theme files.

Perhaps the plugin All in One SEO Pack somehow changes the WP menu and makes error in drop-down menus. However, if I deactivate this plugin, the site becomes unavailable.

    HI,
Nope, you can deactivate All in One SEO Pack plug in now (I was wrong before about WP Page Extension plug in needing to be on, that plug in shouldn’t be on and is causing issues with All in One SEO Pack). If you try it now, and turn off All in One SEO Pack now, the nav still doesn’t work.

To do some more testing, I set up the hot destinations theme on another domain that I am currently not using, with all the same plugins installed and active. However the Nav menus work completely fine on that 2nd domain. Don’t know what is wrong with these settings then. Pretty annoying that it won’t work.

Hoping we can figure this out,
    Greg

Thank you for setting up template on another template. I can see the menu works fine now. But after installation of some of your plugins, it will stop working (you have installed many plugins).

Please install them one by one on this new domain and check when the menu will stop working.

Also, it’s possible that you entered some JavaScript in HTML widgets or in pages/posts. This could make conflict as well. Please refer to the screen shot I sent you earlier. There’s no such error on the new domain now.

    HI,
Thanks for you replies. I did install the same plug ints one by one, and it works fine, so not sure what is causing this. I guess I will need to reinstall the template.
    Thanks,
    Greg
