I had already set up my database and installed wordpress directly from GoDaddy. The name of the theme folder did not match anything in the downloads folder. I uploaded what I thought was the basid theme. I am trying to have it look like the demo site so I can just replace content. My site is http//go-travel-cheap.com
    Thanks for your help

You can’t install our theme with demo data like that.

Please download and read our PDF instructions and follow them step by step. You don’t have to install WP through GoDaddy, as HotStart installation contains WP.

do in need to uninstall wp from godaddy and start the entire process over? I already ftp’d the files and folders into the root directory…should I uninstall those as well and start fresh?

What version of wordpress are you running with this template?

After HotStart installation you will have WordPress 3.5, you can use WP’s update feature to update it to the very latest version.

You need an empty folder and empty database to install HotStart. I will tell you again, please read our manual.

It is underway. I uninstalled everything. I am looking for hot_themename_hotstart.zip you said to unzip but could not locate it. I did however find a file that contains all of the folders and files called wp_hot_destinations_hotstart. Is this what you meant?

I will say again, please follow our instructions (pdf).

Yes, you should unzip this archive and upload it by FTP.
