Homepage gone after deleting categories and pages

Help! I clearly messed something up.

I used a modified Destinations theme as a site about mobile phones. so I deleted categories and pages about travel but then my homepage dissapeared and now shows a 404 error. Putting back the pages and recreating the categories doesnt help. Can you tell me what may have caused this and how I can restore my homepage?

Mate it could be a plethora of things, start by checking what your standard home page is set to?

It should be in the settings menu.

Reading tab under the settings menu sorry… Front page should be set to Home…

A page names Home should also exist, it should be using the Home template…
