    Hi,

I created a child theme for wp_hot_sportal. The style.css doesnt seem to affect some elements (font, dotted seperator on top menu).

Is that a natural limitation of the child theme with Hot Sportal or is the problem with me and my inability to edit the child style.css properly?

    Cheers

    David

    Hi David,

Please compress (zip) and attach your child theme here. I will take a look what’s problem with it.

    Thanks

There are only files in this theme so far. The search.php and comment.php are working well in thet child theme folder.

The issue is with the style.css which doesn’t seem to affect changes to font ( I do not want the web font ‘SansationRegular’ on the site) and changes to the top menu (where I want to remove the “dotted” separator.

both fo these things I have been able to modify with the parent theme style.css – but this is not ideal if I can avoid it.

    Thanks.

One question: Can images (like new background and menu.png files be placed in an image folder of the child theme? Will they overrite the image folder of the parent theme is the file is the same name?

    Thanks,

    David.

The problem has been fixed. Please re-download the Sportal theme package. The only file changed is /wp_content/themes/wp_hot_sportal/header.php

You can extract only this file and upload it by FTP.

    Regards

    Hi Milos,

Thanks for this. I uploaded the header.php and removed the old one. However, the result was that my top menu bar dissapeared!

Can’t see why yet but I will investigate the reason.

    Hi David,

The same header.php file is on our demo http://demo.hotjoomlatemplates.com/wordpress/sportal/ and as you can see there are no issues with the top menu. Also, when I visit your site the top menu is in its place.
