    Hi,
Good to see that your templates are also on wordpress now.

I have successfully put your sample site on xampp on wordpress 3.5.1. I am trying to change the main big text and ipad icon at widget advert1 and advert2. Nothing happens when I click on either of these buttons on the widget page. Please advise.

    Many thanks

    Hugh

    Hi Hugh,

You should go to Appearance > Widgets > Advert1/Advert2. There you will see the content of those two widgets. So, just edit this demo content with your content.

    Thanks

    Hi Milos,

This is the problem…. there is no content and clicking on advert1 & advert2 buttons doesn’t do anything. All the other widget buttons open OK…

I also have a copy of your theme on a working server and these 2 buttons are inactive on there as well. I can give you access if it helps.

Many thanks for the quick response.

    Regards

    Hugh

Have you installed this theme using HotStart installation method in order to copy demo data (please read our instructions for help). If not, then it’s normal that Advert1 and Advert2 are empty after theme installation.

    Hi Milos,

The Xampp install was installed hot start the live system not. Both suffer from the same problem that I cannot get to modify or insert anything at the advert1 or advert2 widget no matter what I do. Sorry if it sounds basic…. however I don’t think it is…

    Regards

Ok, I would need to check this. Please send me your WordPress access. You can use Report To Moderator button to send data privately.

Like I said, you have not installed HotStart installation, therefore, demo data have not been copied. So, you would need to create ALL widgets manually.

    I strongly advise you to:

    1. Read our instructions for HotStart installation
    2. Install HotStart locally to see what you will get in this case. This is the best starting point for making a NEW site!!!
    3. If you already have a site with content, then you can install HotStart locally and copy-paste from it to your old site.

    Hi Milos,

Thanks for being on the case.

As I said before the Xampp install has been the hot start – I have installed your themes on joomla many times before…..

The site I pointed you to is a live site that I hope to be copying things from the Xampp install to. However both installs have the same problem with advert1 and advert2. Unfortunately I cannot give you access to the local install nor do I want to reinstall using the hot start on the live site.

Hope this helps explain why things are how you have found them – however it still doesn’t help me access widget advert1 & advert2???

    Many thanks

    Hugh

    Hi Hugh,

As you can see, I was able to edit Advert1 on your site normally. I drag’n’drop text widget inside Advert1, added some text and saved it successfully. I still don’t understand what problem with those 2 widget positions you have.

    Thanks
    Milos

    Hi Milos,

Found the problem and it may be of interest.

Advert 1& Advert2 do not open using Firefox (18.0.2) they do using Chrome. It is additionally baffling as advert 3 & advert4 do open with Firefox.

    Thanks

    Hugh

    Hi Hugh,

I tested your site again, now with latest version of Firefox 18.0.2 (Mac). Everything works normally regarding the Advert1-2 widget positions. Maybe you can try clearing cache of your Firefox.

    Thanks,
    Milos

    Hi Milos,

OK finally resolved it. The thing that stops advert1&advert2 working (but seems to have no effect on anything else) is the adblock extension for firefox. When I disable this all is OK. Grrrrrrrrr.

    Thanks – case closed

    Hugh
